On 29th and 30th of November 2017 at the office of Uzunkopru Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Republic of Turkey was held second meeting of the Marketing Monitoring Committee under the project: “One destination two countries”, reg. № CB005.1.22.134 and subsidy contract № РД-02-29-40/20.03.2017, financed under the first call of project proposal under the Interreg Programm for Cross-Border Cooperation Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020 CCI: 2014TC1615CB005.
The project is being implemented since 21.03.2017 by the Partners: Uzunkopru Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Republic of Turkey and Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry and shall end on 20.06.2018.
During the meeting the implementation of Activity 1 – Training on Destination Planning and Destination Marketing, which were carried out in October in Uzunkopru and in Haskovo. Twenty Bulgarian and Turkish representatives of tourist information centers and tour operators, hoteliers and restaurateurs, as well as representatives of non-profit organizations active in the field of tourism were trained.
The Partners discussed the tasks related to the successful implementation of the following main activities: preparation of information materials about the project; catalog for the crafts in the cross-border region; advertising video clips for tourism; information brochure; preparation of a mobile application with information on tourism in the cross-border region Haskovo - Edirne; participation and presentation of an information stand at the ITB International Exhibition in Berlin, Germany in March 2018
During the meeting it was reported that the project activities are being implemented according to the schedule and the partners cooperate very well in order achieve the outcomes that are related to the development of common tourism products.
